چکیده

in this paper, we have de ned and studied a generalized form of topological vectorspaces called s-topological vector spaces. s-topological vector spaces are de ned by using semi-open sets and semi-continuity in the sense of levine. along with other results, it is provedthat every s-topological vector space is generalized homogeneous space. every open subspaceof an s-topological vector space is an s-topological vector space. a homomorphism betweens-topological vector spaces is semi-continuous if it is s-continuous at the identity.

On $beta-$topological vector spaces

We introduce and study a new class of spaces, namely $beta-$topological vector spaces via $beta-$open sets. The relationships among these spaces with some existing spaces are investigated. In addition, some important and useful characterizations of $beta-$topological vector spaces are provided.

S-neighborhoods and L-topological Vector Spaces

In this paper the concept of S-neighborhoods is introduced and we give a new characterization of L-topological vector spaces in terms of S-neighborhood base of θλ(λ ∈ M(L)). As an application, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition of a vector Ltopology determined by its level topologies. Copyright c ©2003 Yang’s Scientific Research Institute, LLC. Topological vector spaces

Each space C N = {f ∈ C c (R) : sptf ⊂ [−N,N ]} ⊂ C[−N,N ] is strictly smaller than the space C[−N,N ] of all continuous functions on the interval [−N,N ], since functions in C N must vanish at the endpoints. Still, C o N is a closed subspace of the Banach space C [−N,N ] (with sup norm), since a sup-norm limit of functions vanishing at ±N must also vanish there. Thus, each individual C N is a ...

Topological Vector Spaces

Theorem 1.4. Let X be a tvs and let F be a local base at 0. Then (i) U, V ∈ F ⇒ there exists W ∈ F such that W ⊆ U ∩ V . (ii) If U ∈ F , there exists V ∈ F such that V + V ⊆ U . (iii) If U ∈ F , there exists V ∈ F such that αV ⊆ U for all α ∈ K such that |α| ≤ 1. (iv) Any U ∈ J is absorbing, i.e. if x ∈ X, there exists δ > 0 such that ax ∈ U for all a such that |a| ≤ δ. Conversely, let X be a l...

ALMOST S^{*}-COMPACTNESS IN L-TOPOLOGICAL SPACES

In this paper, the notion of almost S^{*}-compactness in L-topologicalspaces is introduced following Shi’s definition of S^{*}-compactness. The propertiesof this notion are studied and the relationship between it and otherdefinitions of almost compactness are discussed. Several characterizations ofalmost S^{*}-compactness are also presented.
